FASE was founded in 2003 as subsection of the International Academy of Legal Medicine. Since then, it has gradually gained momentum and is now one of the world-leading scientific associations in the field of forensic anthropology and in forensic sciences in general. FASE promotes the development of forensic anthropology in the widest sense. Its activities include education, scientific meetings, research collaborations, and certification for professionals practicing forensic anthropology.
